Reheat Food Instructions

  • Temperature: Reheat food to a minimum internal temperature of 165° F, as measured by a food thermometer.
  • Time: Reheat food from 41° F to 165° F within two hours. If it takes longer, throw it away.
  • Cover: Cover food to retain moisture and ensure even heating.
  • Microwave: For even heating, cover and rotate food in the microwave for 2 to 3 minutes. You can also add some liquid and vent the lid to allow steam to escape.
  • Stove: Place food in a pan and heat thoroughly.
  • Oven: Place food in the oven at a temperature of at least 325° F.
  • Sauces, soups, and gravies: Bring to a full, rolling boil and stir while heating.
  • Discard: Discard after 4 days of being in the refrigerator.
  • Freeze: Immediately once received.
